Hope and help: counselling, therapy and personal growth

Hello, I am Stephen Blood, I am a counsellor and therapist and I work with people on a wide range of personal issues that we face in our day to day lives, including the challenges our sexual, gender or relational diversity might present, issues that arise in our relationships, the impact our work can have on us and the trouble we sometimes face in finding our place in the world.
I work with individuals and relational groups - including couples and people in open or polyamorous arrangements.
I also work in business settings with individuals or teams, with a focus on relational dynamics, shared goals and personal growth.
I have hope that progress and change is possible for you, and for me too! My approach to counselling is that the more we move into awareness about ourselves, awareness about our emotional world, awareness about the beliefs we have about ourselves, awareness about the challenges from our past and in our present, then this awareness can lead to opportunity for us to to respond differently, to be different.
And that is my hope for you, whatever way you might choose to help and support yourself, is that by moving into awareness, along with love and kindness for yourself, you move into better ways of being you.

What is counselling? There are many different types of counselling out there. My version is commonly called talking therapy. It as a confidential exploration of what is going on for you, not just the story of it, but the emotional experience of it and the why of it. This could be about your anxieties, or feelings of shame, of depression, or experiences of loss or grief, or conflict, or other things in your life that are troubling for you. We might explore the past, we might not. It really is about you and where you need to go.
